Job summary

Brazos Towers at Bayou Manor in Houston, TX, a faith-based Life Plan Community, seeks a Dining Room Server to warmly serve residents and guests across dining venues. You will set tables, take orders, and ensure a consistently positive dining experience.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of dining services experience (preferably fine dining), is 18+ to serve liquor, and is reliable, compassionate, and team‑oriented. High school diploma or GED preferred.

Is courteous, knowledgeable of menu, and professional at all times when serving a customer.2. Sets tables and maintain work stations in proper order.3. Takes food and beverage orders and provides service to residents and guests in all dining venues.4. Assists in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and guests.5. Clears dishes from tables during and after meal service.6. Assists with dishwashing and distribution of clean china if needed.7. Maintains safe and sanitary conditions of work areas.8. Attends in-service training seminars when scheduled.9. Maintains the facility and department standards for personal hygiene and uniform guidelines.10. Completes all assigned cleaning tasks prior to the end of the shift.11. Helps to seat residents whenever possible.12. Fills in as a Host/Hostess, or Bartender when needed.13. Alerts the lead server and/or Dining Room Manager of any concerns or problems pertaining to the resident or guest.14. Cooperates and coordinates work activities with co-workers to ensure a smooth run department.15. Maintain work area and keep the department in compliance with OSHA safety standards.16. Effectively communicates both verbally and in writing.17. Demonstrates the community hospitality promises towards residents, families, associates and vendors.Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal directions.High school education or GED preferred, but not required.Requires a minimum of one to three years experience in dining services preferably in a fine dining venue desired.Must be 18 years of age or older to serve liquor.
