Bay Shore Steel Works in Michigan is seeking a production associate to support manufacturing operations, move materials between departments, read blueprints, monitor equipment, and help optimize workflow to meet production targets while maintaining quality and safety standards. The role supports a fast-paced team in a precision fabrication environment.

Position Summary:

Assists the manufacturing department with various tasks to keep up with production efficiencies. This Job Description is not meant to be all-inclusive, and requirements may change according to the demands of this position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Moving of materials and product from one department to the next according to workflow requirements utilizing forklift.
• Organizing work areas, including stock outside as required
• Utilize sandblast or hand grind equipment to assist with production requirements
• Follow safety procedures as defined for work performed
• Monitor tools and equipment utilized for safety and required maintenance

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Good communication skills

• Forklift license and overhead crane permits (company trained)
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year production experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
• The employee frequently is required to use hand and fingers in handling, grasping, or feeling objects, tools, or controls for an extended period of time
• Standing, all day, occasional bending and reaching

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing and production environment with exposure to noise, dust, sparks, metal particles, fumes, vibration, and temperature fluctuations.
• Regular exposure to moving machinery, steel materials, and industrial equipment.
• Required use of personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toe boots, and other required PPE.
