Job summary

Stanbridge University in Alhambra, CA is seeking a qualified faculty member to provide instruction in Medical-Surgical for the BSN Program. The faculty will deliver didactic and clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus, reporting to the Director of BSN Program, and promote student retention and satisfaction.

A master's in nursing with coursework in education or administration is required, as is CA RN licensure and an AHA BLS card.

Qualifications

Masters in nursing with coursework in education or administration.
Four years of direct patient care experience as an RN in the designated nursing area.
Recent RN experience within the last five years in the assigned nursing area.
At least one year of teaching experience in courses related to registered nursing or related teaching practice.
Active California BRN license.
AHA BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Deliver instruction using course syllabi and provided materials.
Create a learning-centered classroom environment and prepare for instruction to support student success.
Demonstrate flexibility in teaching style and schedule to promote student engagement.
Assess student work in a timely fashion and provide feedback.
Maintain records, submit grades on time, and apply academic policies.
Relate professional and industry experience to learning and stay current with trends.
Provide theory and/or clinical instruction per the course syllabus.
