Job summary

Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse to assist patients through their episode of care with safety and quality as priorities. The role supports family-centered care, delegates to the care team, and requires a state RN license.

The position offers nights (7 pm–7 am), 36 hours/week, every other weekend, with a base pay of $36.90 per hour plus shift differentials and a $2 per hour increase after orientation; benefits eligibility and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; or an associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years.
• Current RN license required and ability to practice in Ohio.
• CPR certification required; willingness to obtain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON as determined by manager.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
• Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates care priorities to the care team.
• Plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
• Utilizes Therapeutic Communication while monitoring the needs of patients and families.
• Participates in data collection or auditing and reports updates to staff.
• Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
