Job summary

Hondros College of Nursing in Akron, OH is seeking a BSN-prepared nurse for a full-time Clinical Faculty role at our Akron campus. In this position you will teach and supervise nursing students at off-campus clinical sites and in labs, fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring comprehensive clinical instruction.

The role requires an active Ohio RN license, 3+ years of RN experience, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is required.
• Three or more years full-time work experience as an RN.
• Active Ohio RN license that has never been encumbered.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students off campus at our clinical sites and/or in a lab setting.
• Promote a positive learning environment and work collaboratively to assure full instruction of the clinical component of the curriculum.
• Create a high level of student engagement by planning the student clinical experience.
• Supervise and orient students to the clinical site as well as to all applicable policies and procedures.
• Evaluate each student’s achievement and progress, providing valuable feedback.
• Participate as a member of the Faculty Organization and Campus Curriculum Committees.
