Job summary

The Li Ka Shing Institute of Health Sciences is seeking a Junior Research Assistant to support core laboratory operations at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Shatin. The role focuses on assisting with day-to-day activities in a high containment setting, coordinating bookings, and ensuring clean, well-maintained facilities for multiple research groups.

The ideal candidate will have a biological sciences background, strong motivation, independence, and fluency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate, preferably a Bachelor’s degree, in Biological Sciences or a related discipline.
• Willing to learn new things, self-motivated, well organised, cooperative with a responsible work attitude.
• Able to work independently.
• Good communication skills in Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily operations of the Core Laboratories and communal facilities.
• Assist in maintenance of the facility and its equipment.
• Housekeeping and booking arrangements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
