Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior BSA Governance Analyst is responsible for maintaining specific aspects of the Bank's BSA/AML compliance program and assisting in meeting and maintaining BSA/AML compliance requirements. The role involves ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act), and adhering to the Bank's policies to mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining BSA/AML/OFAC policies, performing annual risk assessments, maintaining training programs, and supporting regulatory examinations and audits.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in executing BSA/AML and OFAC risk assessments to evaluate control effectiveness and residual risks.
• Assist in implementing and maturing the Bank's enterprise-wide BSA/AML and OFAC training programs.
• Gather and analyze data for risk and control self-assessments.
• Assess responses to self-identified issues, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry trends to ensure policies meet standards.
• Contribute to the development and updates of BSA/AML policies and procedures.
• Prepare responses for audits, examinations, and committee reports.

Additional Accountabilities

• Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and complete required training.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, business management, criminal justice, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in a BSA/AML/OFAC role within a bank or financial institution.

Preferred Qualifications

• ACAMS Certification or CFCS.

Job Competencies

• Strong knowledge of BSA/AML, OFAC, and USA PATRIOT Act regulations.
• Understanding of banking products, services, and systems.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines.
