Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a FIU BSA Investigator for a temporary assignment to support the FIU in reviewing activity and conducting enhanced due diligence within BSA/AML and OFAC frameworks.

The role emphasizes 2-3 years in AML/compliance and requires strong analytical abilities, independent work, and proficiency with the MS Office suite. It offers a pathway within a values-driven, community-focused banking environment in Massachusetts.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of compliance, investigative, fraud, or AML experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Forensic Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• CAMS certification preferred.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Review account activity and investigate alerts for potential suspicious activity.
• Conduct research using internal systems, public records, and external resources.
• Perform enhanced due diligence reviews on customers, beneficial owners, and related entities.
• Analyze information and document investigative findings in accordance with FIU standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare regulatory reports accurately and within established deadlines.
• Manage assigned workloads while meeting departmental service level expectations.
• Maintain knowledge of AML typologies and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Escalate significant concerns to FIU management when appropriate.
• Collaborate with FIU team members and business partners to support compliance efforts.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and operational effectiveness.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
