Job summary

Bluevine seeks a senior leader to own and scale the second-line BSA/AML independent testing and oversight function from Jersey City, NJ. You will develop a risk-based annual testing plan aligned to regulators and internal risk assessments, and you will drive policy governance and regulatory updates.

You will mentor distributed testing resources, coordinate with Product, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Legal, and provide oversight for audits, exams, and sponsor bank reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of compliance governance frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including senior leadership reporting.
• Prior managerial experience, including oversight of distributed or offshore teams preferred.
• Experience supporting regulatory exams, external audits, and sponsor bank oversight.
• Demonstrated experience building or managing independent testing or quality assurance programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and scale the second-line independent testing and oversight function
• Develop and execute a risk-based annual BSA/AML testing plan aligned to regulatory expectations and internal risk assessments
• Oversee governance framework including policy development, change management, approvals, and regulatory updates
• Provide subject matter expertise and advisory support on BSA priorities, including Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), high-risk industry requirements, and emerging regulatory expectations
• Manage issue identification, remediation tracking, validation, and reporting to senior management and risk committees
• Oversee and manage India-based testing resources to ensure consistent methodology, quality control, and defensible documentation standards
• Support external audits, sponsor bank reviews, due diligence requests, and regulatory examinations
• Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor effectiveness of the BSA/AML control environment
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Risk, Operations, Compliance, and Legal to provide governance oversight and ensure regulatory alignment
• Coordinate with business teams to obtain data, documentation, and evidence necessary for testing and internal control reviews
• Identify control gaps, recommend enhancements, and support scalable compliance program improvements as Bluevine grows
