Job summary

Cabinet Maker NYC Inc. in Brooklyn, NY is looking for a Lead Cabinet Maker to oversee high-end residential cabinetry and architectural millwork. This hands-on role requires building, leading a small team, and keeping production on premium standards.

You will read shop drawings, coordinate with drafting and installation, and ensure quality at machining, assembly, and pre-finish stages. A full-time position with Monday–Friday schedule and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-end cabinet making and millwork.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
• Ability to lead a small team without supervision.
• Reliable attendance and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shop production and assign tasks to cabinet makers and helpers.
• Build high-skill work personally (veneers, curved work, custom details).
• Maintain quality control at key stages: machining, assembly, pre-finish.
• Read and execute from shop drawings; flag missing details and solve issues.
• Coordinate with drafting/PM/installation to ship jobs complete and on schedule.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and protect finished parts.
