Job summary

Burke is seeking a Physical Therapist for our outpatient Bronx clinic. The role involves direct patient care, development of treatment plans, and coordination with an interdisciplinary team. Schedule is Monday–Friday with day shifts in a busy outpatient setting.

The candidate will provide patient education, monitor vitals, and participate in department operations, while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and HIPAA regulations. Bronx location at 1250 Waters Pl is included.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or Doctor of Physical Therapy required.
• Less than 1 year experience if new graduate or less than 2 years experience expected.
• Works with patients, families and interdisciplinary team including PT staff, physicians and other disciplines.
• Must be able to perform dependent assistance transfers and monitor vital signs.
• Eligible for NYS PT License/State Board required.
• BLS or ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct restorative patient care and participate in department operations.
• Develop and adjust treatment plans and goals based on evaluations.
• Document care and bill therapy services as appropriate.
• Supervise PTAs, aides and volunteers as indicated.
• Participate in in-service programs and staff training.
