Job summary

Simply Ed in Bronx, NY seeks a part-time Teacher’s Assistant to provide classroom and academic support across Grades K–12 in Bronx public schools. Pay is $26/hour with weekday schedules based on placement. You’ll work with teachers to reinforce lessons, support individual students, and help maintain an inclusive, focused learning environment.

Training is provided and DOE background checks apply. This role offers meaningful hands-on experience in NYC public schools and opportunities to develop

Qualifications

• Pursuing or holding a bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience with children or adolescents; tutoring/TA preferred, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide push-in classroom support during academic instruction.
• Offer one-on-one and small-group academic support to students.
• Collaborate with teachers to align instructional activities with lessons.
• Reinforce ELA, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies skills.
• Monitor student progress and share observations with teachers.
• Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
