Job summary

Simply Ed LLC is seeking a Part-time Teacher’s Assistant for Bronx public schools. You will provide targeted academic support across K–12, working with teachers to reinforce lessons, and helping students develop foundational skills.

The role offers weekday schedules and opportunities to gain NYC DOE classroom experience. Ideal candidates are pursuing or hold a bachelor’s degree in Education or related fields, with strong communication skills and a commitment to student growth.

Qualifications

• Proficient in at least one subject area and able to support instruction across K–12.
• Clear communication with students, teachers, and families.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a classroom setting.
• Patient, adaptable, and able to create positive learning experiences.
• Background clearance (PETS) and DOE alignment are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide push-in classroom support during instruction.
• Offer one-on-one and small-group academic assistance.
• Collaborate with teachers to align with daily lessons and objectives.
• Support subject-specific skills (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies).
• Assist with organizing materials and classroom routines.
• Monitor student progress and share observations with staff.
