First Student is hiring a Full Time School Bus Driver in the Bronx, NY. You will start mornings with student pickups and transport them home in the afternoon, with possible field trips and special events.

No experience is necessary to become a school bus driver; we provide expert training and guidance to help you become a safe and professional First Student driver. This is a full-time, weekday position with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• No experience required to become a school bus driver.
• Expert training and guidance provided to help you succeed.
• DOT drug testing applies for safety-sensitive employment.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding/unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus and conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
• Report mechanical issues and keep the bus clean and sanitary.
• Communicate with parents, school staff and dispatch about delays.
