Job summary

First Student is hiring full-time School Bus Drivers in SmartPick, NY. You will transport students safely each morning and afternoon, with field trips and events possible. Training and guidance are provided to help you become a safe, professional driver.

We offer a $3,000 sign-on bonus, an hourly rate of $25.00, comprehensive benefits, 401(k) with company match, and guaranteed minimum hours. Work is weekday daytime with no nights or summers required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Willing to work part-time with summers off and daytime shifts.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities.
• Supervise boarding and unloading; assist with seatbelts and mobility aids.
• Maintain order on the bus to prevent distractions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections (brakes, lights, tires, exits).
• Report mechanical issues promptly and keep the bus clean.

Skills

Valid Class B License

Ride-share/taxi driving experience
