Job summary

Brilla Schools in the Bronx seeks a 2026-27 3rd Grade Literacy Teacher to lead close reading, writing, phonics, and literacy interventions. You will plan rigorous lessons, analyze data, and partner with families to support scholars’ growth and character development.

The position emphasizes collaborative planning across literacy teams, ongoing professional development, and a commitment to serving underserved communities with a joyful, rigorous learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Current elementary teaching certification (preferred).
• Special Education credential and experience (highly preferred).
• Urban teaching experience with demonstrated student results (preferred).
• Spanish language proficiency (preferred).
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
