Qualifications

  • 1+ years of administrative, coordination, or compliance support experience; real estate licensing or brokerage compliance is a plus but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of deadlines, renewals, and follow-up items.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to catch discrepancies before they become issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and composure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to licensing/compliance tracking systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication with brokers, agents, and regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle of real estate license applications, renewals, amendments, and reciprocal licenses across Lincoln’s operating states.
  • Monitor expiration dates, continuing education deadlines, and regulatory filing timelines to avoid lapses.
  • Maintain audit-ready licensing records in Lincoln’s tracking system for brokerage personnel.
  • Coordinate with state real estate commissions, designated brokers, and licensing agencies to resolve questions and discrepancies.
  • Assist onboarding of licensed personnel by verifying status, processing sponsorship transfers, and confirming compliance.
  • Track and report license application/renewal volume, flag bottlenecks, and escalate time-sensitive items to leadership.
  • Respond to license verification requests from internal teams, brokers, and external agencies.
  • Identify process improvements to support growth in renewals and monitoring needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Compliance Specialist supports Lincoln's Licensing/Brokerage team in managing the day-to-day monitoring, renewal, and administration of real estate licenses across the Lincoln platform. This role is essential to keeping pace with a growing volume of license applications, renewals, and monitoring requirements, and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and disciplined follow-up to meet regulatory deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of real estate salesperson and broker license applications, renewals, amendments, and reciprocal licenses across the states where Lincoln operates.
  • Monitor license expiration dates, continuing education deadlines, and regulatory filing deadlines to prevent lapses in active licensure.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready licensing records for all brokerage personnel within Lincoln's licensing tracking system.
  • Coordinate directly with state real estate commissions, designated brokers, and licensing agencies to resolve application questions and compliance discrepancies.
  • Support the onboarding of new licensed personnel by verifying license status, processing sponsorship transfers, and confirming compliance requirements are met before activation.
  • Track and report on license application and renewal volume, flagging bottlenecks and escalating time-sensitive items to leadership.
  • Respond to license verification requests from internal teams, brokers, and external agencies in a timely manner.
  • Partner with the Licensing/Brokerage team to identify process improvements that support a growing volume of renewals and monitoring needs.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional and responsive when interfacing with brokers, agents, and regulatory agencies.
