Job description

Position Summary:

The Penske Collections Analyst provides information and advice on Accounts Receivable collections by utilizing multiple sources of information.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze multiple data sources for potential bad debt losses.
  2. Take prompt action to alert managers.
  3. Interact significantly with customers and field personnel to identify and resolve payment issues.
  4. Administer payment plans as needed.
  5. Manage activities on escalation trackers for disputes or bounced payments due to insufficient funds.
  6. Assist in structuring repayment plans or influence decisions to default.
  7. Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles (invoicing, collections, cash application).
  • 1-2+ years of prior collections and customer service experience preferred.
  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills with customers and field teams.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and AS-400 software.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is essential.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, and at the designated location.
  • Must complete Penske employment application, and pass background and drug screening.

Physical Requirements:

  • Read, communicate verbally and in writing, analyze information, and follow instructions.
  • Stand, walk, sit, and use hands frequently; reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally lift/move up to 25 lbs (12 kg).
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
