Job summary

Maersk USA is seeking a freight broker trainee in Charlotte, NC. This direct-hire, 100% office-based role offers a robust training program to build the skills and knowledge needed to move freight through final-mile networks.

No industry experience is required; comprehensive training is provided. You will develop carrier relations, track shipments, communicate with customers and vendors, and help manage revenue while growing your career in supply chain management.

Qualifications

• Proven communication skills are a must (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of TL transportation terms.
• Verifiable customer service experience, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers and vendors.
• Computer experience: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), ability to learn proprietary software & navigate multiple programs.
• Must be able to multitask and function in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated.
• Detail-oriented.
• Driven to succeed.

• Develop and maintain Carrier relations, and act as liaison for TL sales manager
• Research and resolve issues regarding freight and billing issues related to shipments
• Daily communication with customers and vendors
• Track & trace shipments daily
• Schedule pick-up & delivery appointments
• Manage 3 to 5 million dollars in revenue per year

No experience is necessary. We are going to provide the training needed to be a successful freight broker. We are looking for motivated people seeking a career in Supply Chain Management who can adapt to changes, be a team player, learn quickly, and be an instant contributor to the success of the company and client. Computer skills and communication skills are the driving factors for the job requirements.

Pay Range:

$55,000.00 annual + incentive!

*The above-stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
