Qualifications

Job Description

The Broker Relations Manager is a key member of the Growth Team at VillageMD. They will collaborate across departments to develop managed care growth programs aligned with our strategic vision. This role involves managing broker relationships, supporting clinical and outreach teams, and facilitating annual enrollment activities, focusing on agent engagement and market relations.

How you can make a difference

  • Serve as the market’s primary contact for broker relationships, with expertise in brokers, insurance agents, and Field Marketing Organizations (FMOs).
  • Manage a portfolio of strategic broker relationships to support company growth.
  • Assist clinical and outreach teams with patient navigation, insurance, and clinical quality concerns.
  • Build and maintain relationships with brokers, health plans, and community influencers, especially those connected with Medicare.
  • Train and educate brokers on VillageMD programs, policies, and updates.
  • Engage in educational activities to support community outreach and collaborative efforts.
  • Identify and collaborate with agents aligned with our mission and community demographics.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to achieve growth targets and resolve issues.
  • Conduct semi-annual broker meetings for feedback and relationship building.
  • Contribute to payor market planning and develop professional presentations for FMOs, general agencies, and payors.
  • Stay informed on Medicare, Medicaid, and health economic trends to advise partners.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for agents.
  • Provide market analysis and reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and contracts.
  • Lead recurring payer partner meetings and participate in relevant teams and committees.
  • Build relationships with insurance leaders and community organizations to foster growth.

Experience to drive change

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success in program development and management.
  • 2-4 years’ experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or network/broker relations preferred.
  • Experience working with insurance payers and FMOs preferred.
  • Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends and nights as needed.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and independent problem-solving.
  • Highest standards of honesty and fairness.
