Broker II, National Marine, Logistics

This role can be hybrid remote, preferably near an Aon office in Charlotte, NC; Franklin, TN; Raleigh, NC; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Tampa, FL; or virtual for the right candidate. As a Broker, you will report directly to the National Logistics Practice Leader.

What the day will look like
  • Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to clients.
  • Ensure placements are handled accurately and on time.
  • Build and maintain detailed knowledge of logistics liability & shipper’s interest insurance marketplace, products, and services.
  • Develop productive relationships with key insurance underwriters and local office teams.
  • Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures.
  • Coordinate activities with internal units to meet customer needs.
  • Present to local account executives, participate in RFPs, client meetings, and conference calls.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive-level clients, designing, broking, selling, and servicing complex accounts.
  • Serve as a primary internal source for market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies, often within a specialized area.
  • Plan, schedule, resource, and drive large projects/programs.
  • Interact frequently with senior colleagues and clients, involving cross-functional matters.

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years of logistics/marine insurance brokerage or related experience.
  • Understanding of carrier underwriting practices and processes.

  • Effective presentation and communication skills.

  • Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.
  • Strong social skills for interaction at various levels.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Maintain appropriate broker’s license.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
