Job description

Broker II, National Marine, Logistics

This role can be hybrid remote, preferably near an Aon office in Charlotte, NC; Franklin, TN; Raleigh, NC; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Chicago, IL; Miami, FL; Tampa, FL; or virtual for the right candidate. As a Broker, you will report directly to the National Logistics Practice Leader.

What the day will look like
  1. Market new and renewal business, handling all aspects of the placements from initial market selection through policy delivery to client.
  2. Ensure that placements are handled accurately and on time.
  3. Build and maintain detailed knowledge of logistics liability & shipper's interest insurance marketplace, products, and services.
  4. Develop productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters and Aon local office teams.
  5. Identify and analyze prospect and client exposures.
  6. Coordinate activities with other internal units as required to meet customer needs.
  7. Present to local account executives, participate in RFPs, client meetings, and conference calls.
  8. Act as a trusted advisor to the executive-level client in broking, designing, selling, and servicing complex accounts.
  9. Serve as a primary internal source for market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies, often within a specialized area.
  10. Plan, schedule, resource, and drive large projects/programs.
  11. Interact frequently with senior colleagues and clients, involving matters across divisions or units.

  • Experience in resource deployment and utilization management.
  • Strong social skills for interacting at various levels.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment handling multiple tasks.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Maintain appropriate broker's license.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Pay Transparency

The salary range is $100,000 - $160,000 annually, depending on experience, education, skills, location, and market factors. The position may include participation in incentive plans with discretionary bonuses.
