Job summary

AIG seeks a Broker Director to lead relationships with a select group of retail brokers and drive profitable growth within the Distribution segment in the United States. Reporting to the Broker & Market Leader, you will own broker performance, coordinate with internal teams, and apply data-driven insights to expand the broker book of business.

This role requires strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills, about 10 years in broker or carrier management, and willingness to travel 20–30%

Qualifications

• Strong sales background, negotiation skills and presentation skills.
• Business acumen, process, project management and data orientation.
• Ability to understand and articulate product strategies and differentiators.
• 10 years' experience in broker and/or carrier relationship management, underwriting or commercial insurance broking.
• Strong written and verbal communication with senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Directly managing relationships with a select set of five or fewer retail brokers.
• Own broker performance scorecard and report monthly/quarterly results.
• Collaborate with Distribution and Product leaders to align portfolio and growth opportunities.
• Coordinate with AIG International team for global business plan alignment.
• Travel regularly to broker offices (~20–30%).
• Develop execution strategies with Product and Broker & Market leadership.
• Drive growth and retention through KPI-driven initiatives.
