Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Underwriter to drive profitable growth by evaluating and underwriting new and renewal accounts across WC, GL, Property, and Commercial Auto.

The role involves pricing negotiation with brokers and ensuring governance compliance, with travel to broker meetings in the territory (minimum 20%). You will work with producers to assess catastrophe exposure, maintain contract certainty at inception, and support policy administration.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience in Packaged P&C underwriting profitable business.
• Specialized understanding of Packaged P&C accounts (WC, GL, Property, Commercial Auto).
• Established broker relationships with peer-group brokers; ability to travel 20%.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets.
• Negotiate price and terms with producers.
• Underwrite and evaluate catastrophe exposure and interpretation of scenarios for relevant lines of business.
• Ensure contract certainty at inception and binding of FAC Reinsurance prior to policy inception.
• Policy documentation and administration; maintain files for each risk and transaction.
