Job summary

Webull is seeking an experienced accountant with broker-dealer expertise to lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close for the U.S. Broker Dealer and related entities. You will own the close process, review journal entries and reconciliations, and oversee AP/AR functions while ensuring GAAP compliance.

The role requires 8+ years in broker-dealer accounting, a Accounting/Finance degree, and a CPA. Based at our New York office, you will mentor staff and collaborate with auditors and tax teams.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in broker-dealer accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and regulatory reporting.
• Experience leading monthly, quarterly and annual close across multiple entities.
• Experience mentoring accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Manage monthly close for multiple affiliated entities and ensure accurate postings.
• Review journal entries, bank reconciliations, AP/AR functions and intercompany entries.
• Prepare Balance Sheet, P&L, Member's Equity, and Cash Flow statements.
• Drive improvements for controls, policies, and automation opportunities.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax teams, and regulatory examinations.
• Develop and train accounting staff for growth and efficiency.
