Job summary
SNY in New York is seeking a seasoned Broadcast Engineer to join our Engineering and Operations team. This role maintains equipment and technical standards at production and newsroom facilities, thrives under pressure, and takes ownership of technology in a fast-paced broadcast environment.
The position is in-office five days a week at our World Trade Center offices, with occasional travel to Citi Field or MetLife.
Qualifications
- BS in Engineering / Computer Science or 7+ years in broadcast staff engineering.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and solve real-time issues.
- Experience in a media company, systems integrator, or related field.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple daily live in-studio productions and QC feeds.
- Perform preventative maintenance on studio and newsroom equipment.
- Assist as backup for studio technical managers and oversee live productions.
- Troubleshoot audio, video, intercom, and related broadcast systems.
- Maintain quality control for feeds including Zoom, LiveU, and routing.
- Coordinate with external vendor support to resolve requests.
- Implement studio and remote maintenance duties as required.
- Evaluate, test, and install upgrades to existing broadcast systems.
