Job summary

Eccalon is hiring a Broadcast Media Systems Software Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable streaming pipelines for analytics, ML, monitoring, and mission-critical applications.

You will work on distributed systems ingesting, processing, and delivering streaming data, collaborating with data, platform, product, and infra teams to ensure reliability and performance across pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Low-level programming with C/C++/Rust and memory management.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data streaming pipelines.
• Develop and operate transport and broadcast media architectures.
• Implement custom transport logic and socket architectures for high-throughput streams.
• Optimize throughput, latency, and resource efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and metrics for streaming applications.
• Collaborate with broadcast engineering teams to integrate streaming systems.
