Applicants should have 5+ years in broadcast engineering or EIC, strong networking, and excellent client-facing communication. The role includes setup/breakdown duties, technical troubleshooting, and ongoing equipment

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Broadcast Engineer or EIC
  • High school diploma or its equivalent
  • Relevant trade school, technical school, or post-high-school training may be considered in combination with professional experience
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to self-manage
  • Excellent understanding of equipment within the department as well as strong networking skills
  • Proven ability to quickly identify and troubleshoot problems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in pressure situations
  • Must maintain a professional appearance
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform the physical duties of the position

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot audio, video, and control system problems involving Ross, EVS, Sony, and Disguise systems
  • Interact with clients and manage expectations
  • Communicate with account managers to ensure all technical requirements, equipment, and labor related to production are correct
  • Participate in meetings and phone calls with internal and external staff and clients regarding upcoming events
  • Work with internal and external staff and communicate needs and procedures respectfully
  • Maintain, configure, and repair equipment or facilitate the RMA process
  • Work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Inspect, test, and maintain equipment to ensure reliable operation
  • Assist in loading and unloading equipment from delivery vehicles
  • Assist in setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment for events

Job description

The Broadcast Engineer position is a multi-faceted, full-time position located in the greater Seattle, WA area. The employee will be responsible for maintaining and updating the equipment installed in a multicamera XR/AR studio, maintaining technical documentation, and integrating additional broadcast or audio-visual equipment needed on a show-by-show basis.

The position requires a professional understanding of broadcast cameras and video switchers, a deep understanding of video and audio signal routing, and a comprehensive understanding of networking. The employee will maintain the studio/facility according to the standards set forth by the Company. It is the policy of MeyerPro Inc. to provide excellent customer service both internally and externally. Employees are expected to perform all of their duties and responsibilities in accordance with this policy at all times.
