Job summary

NC State University Athletics seeks a Broadcast Engineering professional to maintain and operate broadcast facilities and A/V systems across high-profile events. You will support ESPN/ACC Network productions, plan equipment deployment, and guide student operators in technical execution.

The role requires organized, self-directed work in a fast-paced live environment with a focus on reliability and teamwork within the Multimedia Department of NC State Athletics.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Electronics and three years of progressive experience in a Broadcast Television, Radio and Emerging Media Engineering Environment; or equivalent training/experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Engineering with maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration, and operation of broadcast facilities, A/V systems, video boards, and digital signage.
• Provide engineering support for ESPN / ACC Network broadcasts hosted or supported by NC State facilities.
• Plan and coordinate equipment allocation and deployment for multiple productions.
• Set up, test, and prepare production equipment for multiple events with tight turnaround times.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of broadcast/production equipment.
• Train and mentor student operators in equipment operation and professional production techniques.
• Supervise student staff including scheduling, load-ins/strikes, and intern management.
• Apply live-broadcast concepts and technical practices to support successful events.
• Lift up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 60 pounds occasionally; reasonable accommodations as needed.
