Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group in Green Bay, WI, is seeking a full-time Broadcast Engineer to support daily station operations. The role covers hands-on support of broadcast equipment, IT systems and facilities maintenance to ensure reliable on-air performance.

Responsibilities include managing servers and network services, PC/Mac support, News department tech needs, video setup, transmitter/master control maintenance, and LAN/WAN maintenance, with flexible scheduling and on-call duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or higher in IT, electronics or computer science or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of related broadcast experience.
  • Team-oriented attitude and dedication to quality.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of core hardware, installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and LAN/WAN networking.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting problems.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Requirements

Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with Avid related software and hardware products a plus
Physical Demands/Work Environment
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • On-call duty, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift computers and equipment generally less than 50 pounds
