Job summary

Sinclair Broadcast Group is seeking a talented Broadcast Engineer in Green Bay to support daily station operations. You will perform hands-on maintenance of broadcast equipment, IT systems and facilities to ensure reliable on-air performance and efficient technical operations.

You will manage servers, network security and services, support PC/Mac hardware and software on-site, assist with video equipment, Transmitter and Master Control, and LAN/WAN maintenance while collaborating with the News

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in IT, electronics or computer science or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of related broadcast experience.
  • Strong team attitude and dedication to quality.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems.
  • Knowledge of core hardware and computer system technologies, including LAN/WAN networking.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting problems and working under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

WLUK/WCWF has an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Broadcast Engineer to support daily station operations. This role is responsible for hands-on support of broadcast equipment, IT systems, and facilities maintenance, ensuring reliable on-air performance and efficient technical operations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Manager and provide support in the management of Servers, Network Security and Network Services
  • PC/Mac hardware/software support of on-site installing, servicing and repairing workstations
  • Provide support for the technical needs of the News Department
  • Assist with video equipment set-up and maintenance
  • Assist Engineering with Transmitter and Master Control maintenance

Requirements:
  • Associates degree or higher in IT, electronics or computer science or a related field
  • 2 - 4 years of related broadcast experience

  • Strong familiarity with Microsoft, Mac and Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge and competency in core hardware and computer system technologies, including installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and LAN/WAN networking
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting problems and responding quickly under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
  • Familiarity with Avid related software and hardware products a plus
  • CompTIA A+, SBE, or similar technical certification
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule
  • On-call duty, including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift computers and equipment generally less than 50 pounds
