Job summary

The City of Philadelphia is seeking a Production Technician to serve as the primary camera operator and staff editor for PHLgovTV. This hybrid role covers studio and field shoots, including government proceedings, and delivering broadcast-ready 1080p59.94 outputs.

Responsibilities include operating A-camera, lighting, audio coordination, and managing media workflow, with duties spanning weekly episodic editing and live streaming support.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in film/TV production, media technology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of professional camera operation experience; minimum 2 years of professional editing experience.
• Reel demonstrating both camera and editing work required.

Responsibilities

• Operate A-camera on studio and field productions; manage lighting and audio coordination.
• Cover live City Council sessions and mayoral briefings with PTZ camera control.
• Serve as primary editor: ingest, transcode, edit weekly episodes to broadcast-ready versions.
