Abundant Life Church in Lee's Summit, MO, is seeking a Broadcast Audio Engineer to execute the live mix for weekend services and online streams. The role requires coordinating with Worship and Production to implement ministry scopes across events and seasons, while maintaining schedules.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of mixing experience in studio or live settings, church production experience, and proficiency with ProTools, Yamaha consoles, Waves LV1, and Dante networking.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of new technologies to aid ministry development.
• Enlist, train, and develop broadcast audio engineers for the Production Department.
• Assist in preparing the annual budget for board approval.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Lee's Summit Technical Director.
• Other duties as reasonably assigned.

Job description

The Broadcast Audio Engineer is responsible for executing the broadcast mix of our church services and events. We are looking for someone with the ability to understand the entirety of both the Worship & Production Departments scopes and implement them into specific ministry areas as needed. This role will require strong task- management skills to continually evaluate services and event timelines with the changing seasons of the church.

• Responsibly use the resources at your disposal to foster the mission and vision of Abundant Life (1 Peter 5:1-4).
• Participate in an Abundant Life group (Acts 2:41-42) as well as the discipleship ministry (Matthew 28:18-20).
• Live in a way that glorifies God and aligns with the staff core values (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9).
• Be committed to giving to the needs of the saints (2 Corinthians 8:1-7 & 9:12).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Execute the live mix of Weekend Services for Abundant Life Church Online.
• Execute the live mix of the mid‑week services, weekend services, and events at Abundant Life Church for Abundant Life Church Online. This includes all evening ministry services (Fusion Students, Paradigm Young Adults, The Gathering (Women), Sunday services, and any extra events that live stream to our Abundant Life destinations
• Work with ministry leaders and TD to continue meeting ministry needs.
• Maintain a working knowledge of new technologies within the industry to assist in further ministry development.
• Enlist, train, and develop broadcast audio engineers for the Production Department of Abundant Life Church.
• Work with TD to provide an annual budget for board approval.
• Perform other duties as requested by the Lee's Summit Technical Director.
• Other duties as reasonably assigned**.

• Proficiency in ProTools mixing, editing, and music editing.

Experience Requirements

• 3+ years relevant experience and proficiency in mixing audio (studio and live settings)
• Experience working/serving in a church production environment
• Advanced understanding of audio signal flow.

Schedule

• Sunday (6am – 1pm)
• Monday - Thursday (1pm – 9pm)
