Job description

TheBroad Institute of MIT and Harvardis offering apaid full-time summer internshipinscience writing and communications, with applications due byFebruary 28, 2025. The internship is hosted by theOffice of Communicationsand aims to provide acomprehensive, mentored experiencein various aspects ofscience communication. Interns will work onwriting articles, blog posts, and Q&Afor a lay audience,creating social media content, developing infographics, anddrafting video scripts. They will also contribute to theinternal newsletter, attendscientific seminars, and collaborate withBroad scientiststo communicate new research findings.

The12-week internshipruns fromMay or June to August or September, offering asalary of $22 per hour. Interns may workremotely but must be based in the U.S., withpreference for on-site participationin Cambridge, MA. Ideal candidates will havea bachelor’s degree or higher,strong writing and communication skills, apassion for science communication, and the ability to managemultiple projects.
