Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging in Winston-Salem, NC seeks a Briquetter/Overhead Crane operator to run the baler and overhead crane, and to move materials across the plant using a forklift or hand truck. You will identify, transport and store materials, perform routine equipment checks, and support production scheduling to ensure timely deliveries.

Requirements include a high school diploma, physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and willingness to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Able to stand for long durations (>8 hours).
• Able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays and night shifts.
• Able to pass Ramsay Basic Skills Test at 65% or higher.
• Exposure to heat, cold, vibrations, odors, fumes and loud noise.

Responsibilities

• Operate the baler and the overhead crane.
• Transport materials using an industrial truck per schedule.
• Move, load and unload scrap and finished goods as required.
• Record and weigh scrap and production materials.
• Inspect and service lift trucks and related equipment.
• Maintain organization of skids, pallets and loading docks.
