Job summary

St. Anne's Early Learning Center, part of Catholic Charities Eastern Washington, seeks an Assistant Teacher in Spokane, WA. The role supports the Lead Teacher to deliver developmentally appropriate activities for children from 1 month to 6 years old and to maintain a safe, nurturing classroom environment.

Working hours are weekdays 7:00am-5:30pm with no weekends. Competitive benefits include free medical, dental, vision, 13 paid holidays, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• Requires DCYF background check and MERIT system registration.
• Food Handler’s Certification, BBP, First Aid, CPR, and MMR vaccination required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teacher with age-appropriate activities and curriculum.
• Lead small group or one-on-one activities.
• Maintain organized and conducive learning environment.
• Support behavior guidance and conflicts resolution.
• Supervise children for safety and well-being.
• Observe and document children’s progress with Lead Teacher.
