Job summary

HDR is seeking a Bridges and Structures Business Class Lead in Sioux Falls, SD, to guide area coordination, project management, and the development of technical staff. You will oversee staff training, quality control, and client-focused delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Collaborating with operations, marketing and PM teams, you will also manage staffing and budgeting while driving QA processes and internal strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or architecture or related field required.
• At least 10 years of experience in bridges/structures.
• Professional registration maintained.
• Experience in leading diverse, cross-discipline teams.
• Active participation in HDR's employee-owned culture is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate area, manage projects, monitor and improve staff competencies.
• Deliver project services to meet client expectations.
• Collaborate with operations, marketing and PM teams.
• Engage in practice groups and QA/QC reviews to raise standards.
• Contribute to strategic planning and budgeting.
• Manage staffing and resource balancing with PMs.
• Support internal strategic initiatives.
• Lead BC communications.
• Oversee technical development in the area.
• Organize participation in practice groups.
• Conduct project and QA reviews.
• Perform other duties as needed.
