Job summary

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only networking event in Boston for a Structural Engineering Intern position starting Summer 2027. The role will involve assisting project engineers on bridge and tunnel design, calculations, and documentation, with opportunities to learn from senior staff.

You will gain hands-on experience in design, analysis, inspection, and drafting using CAD tools and modeling software, while pursuing a Civil Engineering degree and meeting the listed requirements.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and must have completed 1 year of study.
• Experience with Excel and MS Word preferred.
• CAD programs such as AutoCAD are a plus.
• Experience with MathCAD and modelling software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with report writing and setup.
• Development of field forms.
• Assist with data entry, editing and creation of drawings and table/charts.
• Development of plans and details utilizing CAD.
• Development of engineering calculations utilizing examples and guidance of senior engineers.
• Support senior and junior engineers with engineering related tasks.
