Job summary

VS Engineering in Lafayette, IN seeks a Senior Bridges & Structures Project Manager to lead design efforts for major infrastructure projects. You will manage scope, budgets, and schedules while growing client relationships and mentoring project teams.

This role offers ownership of deliverables, collaboration with experienced professionals, and opportunities to advance leadership and technical skills in a full-service civil firm.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license in Indiana or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• 8+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• Project management experience with INDOT and local agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead bridge and structures projects from concept to completion with quality, budget and schedule discipline.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
• Mentor and manage project teams, providing technical guidance and oversight.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and lead client/stakeholder meetings.
• Prepare proposals, supplements, reports, and feasibility studies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subconsultants.
• Review, certify, and seal design documents as required.
• Keep Team Manager updated on project development.
• Apply innovative design solutions using cutting-edge tools and practices.

Requirements

What You Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or a related field) from an ABET-accredited program.
• PE license in Indiana (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• 8+ years of bridge engineering experience
• Project management experience with INDOT and local agency projects.
• Strong understanding of design standards, regulations, and funding processes.
• Strong technical, leadership, communication, and coordination skills
