Job summary

Parsons is seeking motivated engineering students with an interest in bridge structures for our Summer 2027 internship program in downtown Chicago. You will gain exposure to drawings and calculations for highway and rail bridge designs, located near public transit access.

Responsibilities include CAD drafting, data compilation, and applying structural codes to ensure design compliance. Must be a Civil Engineering student with 3+ years of study and coursework in structural analysis and

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil Engineering with 3+ years of study, focus on Structural Engineering.
• Completed courses in structural analysis, steel or concrete design, geotechnical engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD software (MicroStation/AutoCAD) and applicable codes.

Responsibilities

• Use CAD to prepare engineering plans, sections and details from sketches.
• Compile data and perform dimensional and routine calculations for drawings.
• Apply codes to check design compliance with criteria.
