Job summary

BKF is seeking a Bridge & Structures CADD Designer / Drafter to develop clear, accurate construction plans for bridges and related structures. You will transform concepts, calculations and review comments into coordinated plan sets and 3D models, collaborating with engineers and other disciplines across multiple offices.

Responsibilities include preparing plans for preliminary design to construction, creating 3D models when needed, and ensuring adherence to Caltrans and agency standards

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional CADD experience, including substantial production of bridge or other transportation structural plans.
• Proficiency with bridge plan conventions and steel/concrete detailing; interpret sketches, roadway geometry, survey data, and comments.
• Experience producing coordinated plan sets to client/public agency standards with attention to quality and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise bridge and structural plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules for preliminary design, PS&E and construction support.
• Develop sheet sets from alignments, profiles, surveys, and discipline models; coordinate interfaces with road, drainage, utilities, and geotechnical teams.
• Apply Caltrans and agency CADD standards to file organization, references, levels/layers, annotation, sheet layout, and deliverables.
