Job summary

BKF seeks a Bridge & Structures CADD Designer/Drafter to develop clear, accurate construction plans for bridges and related transportation structures. You’ll work with engineers to convert concepts, sketches, and reviews into coordinated plan sets and 3D models across Caltrans and local agency projects.

Qualifications include a AS degree or higher in drafting/CADD, 5+ years of bridge/structural CADD experience, and proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD; OpenRoads/Civil 3D knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional CADD experience, including bridge/transportation plans.
• Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD; knowledge of OpenRoads/Civil 3D.
• Ability to interpret sketches, survey data and technical comments.
• Experience producing coordinated plan sets to client/public agency standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork with licensed engineers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and revise bridge and structural plans for design/construction.
• Develop sheet sets from alignments, surveys and markups.
• Apply Caltrans and agency CADD standards to deliverables.
• Check drawings for accuracy and implement review comments.
• Create 3D bridge/structural models and model-based views.
• Maintain project files and coordinate production with teams.
