Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
• Four years of experience in technical positions.

Responsibilities

• Develops detailed construction plans for highway structures, computes material quantities and reinforcing bar lists.
• Reviews and approves detail shop drawings and performs calculations to conform to contract documents.
• Details and dimensions plan view, elevation view and cross section of bridge elements from designer outlines.
• Prepares or revises written and graphic material for division manuals using CAD tools.
• Develops preliminary layout and details from designers' calculations for bridges and retaining walls.

Education

Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
