Job summary

Chastain and Associates LLC is seeking a Structural/Bridge Project Manager in Illinois to lead a range of transportation and non-transportation projects. You will manage staff, clients, and deliverables, including bridges, culverts, buildings, and platforms, with a hybrid schedule in Decatur, IL.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, an Illinois SE license (or able to obtain in 12 months), and 8+ years of hands-on experience, plus experience mentoring local and remote teams.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil preferred).
• S.E. license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• 8+ years of hands-on structural engineering experience in the US.
• Experience leading local and remote teams.

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate project goals and expectations with staff and clients.
• Lead on-site condition assessments using existing plans for condition reports.
• Mentor staff and collaborate across departments for project support.
• Review calculations and drawings; perform occasional designs to stay sharp.
• Coordinate submittals with QA/QC reviewer and project plans.
• Support department head and BD team on backlog and pursuits.
