Join the V3 Team and take your career to the next level! Our Structural Group is expanding, and we are looking for a Bridge Structural Engineer to join our Transportation & Municipal Engineering team in Woodridge/Chicago, IL.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
2. Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
3. Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
4. Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
5. Prepare construction specifications.
6. Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
7. Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university. A Master’s degree with a structural focus is a plus.
2. 4-8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, and inspection experience.
3. Experience working with clients such as IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, County DOTs, and local municipalities.
4. Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT, and ISTHA design standards.
5. Proficient in MicroStation; familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler is a plus.
6. Knowledge of design software such as OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, and STAAD.
7. EIT license required; PE or SE license is a plus.
