Responsibilities

In a dynamic environment, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Perform analysis and design of bridges and building structures, including vehicle and pedestrian bridges and low to mid-rise buildings.
• Prepare analysis models, organize calculations, interpret design codes, and produce construction drawings with markup.
• Collaborate with CAD Technicians familiar with current structural CAD standards.
• Visit project sites to observe construction and provide engineering solutions for various site and existing conditions.
• Coordinate with CSA Bridge Engineers, Architects, and other engineering disciplines.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution (ABET).
• 5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in bridge design.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Puerto Rico.
• Experience with structural engineering in Puerto Rico.
• Strong background in designing concrete, steel, and wood structures.
• Knowledge of aluminum and FRP structural design.
• Proficiency in analysis and design software such as Etabs, SAP2000, AutoCAD, REVIT, CSIBridge, SAFE, Enercalc, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and meetings in Puerto Rico.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
