Job summary

V3 Companies is seeking a Bridge Structural Engineer to contribute to career-defining projects across North America. This role supports offices in Woodridge/Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Columbus, OH; and Denver, CO.

You will prepare drawings, perform structural analyses, load ratings, quantity/cost estimates, and construction specifications while collaborating with 450+ designers and engineers. ABET-accredited civil/structural degree and 4–8 years' experience required; EIT is needed, PE/SE

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited university.
• 4-8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, inspection experience.
• EIT license required; PE or SE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
• Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications.
• Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Salary Range: $95,000.00 To $110,000.00 Annually

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
• Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications.
• Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited university. Master’s degree with a structural focus is preferred.
• 4-8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, inspection experience.
• Experience in projects for clients such as various departments of transportation, state and local municipalities.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT and ISTHA design standards.
• Proficient in MicroStation. Familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler a plus.
• Knowledge of design software (OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, STAAD).
• EIT license required. PE or SE license is preferred.
