Job summary

American Structurepoint’s Bridge Group in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Bridge Staff Engineer-intern to assist on diverse bridge projects from concept to final design. You’ll help with hydraulic design, scoping reports, and 3D modeling using widely used tools.

You will gain hands-on experience across project types, benefiting from a mentoring and career path program to grow technically and professionally within civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil, Environmental, Construction, or Structural Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field with a focus on civil infrastructure
• Reliable transportation to and from office or project sites
• Self-motivated and eager to learn, with a strong work ethic and openness to new experiences and challenges

Responsibilities

• Support bridge design projects by assisting with hydraulic modeling, site assessments, and the development of engineering reports
• Work with a variety of industry tools such as MicroStation/GEOPAK, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, OpenBridge, Merlin Dash, and QuickBridge to create 3D models and project deliverables
• Gain hands-on experience across a range of project types, including bridge replacements and rehabilitations, urban and rural roadway improvements, and major interstate upgrades
• Other duties as assigned
