Job summary

Shelby Erectors is hiring experienced Reinforcing Ironworkers to join our bridge and highway crews in Florida. You will work on footings, columns, decks, barriers, and other critical structural elements on major transportation projects.

You will read drawings, place and tie rebar, and collaborate with foremen to keep work safe and on schedule. We offer steady work, competitive pay, and opportunities to grow with a company that invests in training and technology.

Qualifications

• Proven rebar/rodbusting experience on construction projects, ideally bridge or highway work.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in demanding conditions, including heights.
• Reliable transportation and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
• Team-first mindset and pride in high-quality, durable work.

Responsibilities

• Place, tie, and secure reinforcing steel on bridge and highway projects to meet project specifications.
• Work on footings, columns, decks, barriers, and other structural components with speed, accuracy, and safety.
• Read and follow drawings, plans, and instructions to lay out and install rebar correctly.
• Coordinate with your crew and foreman to keep work progressing on schedule while maintaining safety standards.
• Use tools and equipment correctly, maintain a clean work area, and help identify and solve issues in the field.
