Job summary

Project Solutions Inc. (PSI) seeks an experienced Construction Project Engineer to support FHWA, WFLHD, on the MT PRAIRIE 2016(3) project in Prairie County, Montana.

The role involves monitoring contractor operations, ensuring adherence to plans, coordinating with federal stakeholders, and delivering the project safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong experience in bridge rehabilitation, CPM analysis, and field construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related field.
• Equivalent combination of education and construction engineering experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide construction engineering and project oversight for FHWA bridge rehabilitation projects.
• Monitor contractor activities for compliance with plans, specs, quality and safety.
• Coordinate activities with FHWA representatives, contractors, inspectors and stakeholders.
• Review project schedules and perform CPM schedule analysis.
• Maintain project documentation and field reports.
• Track quantities, progress payments and contract modifications.
• Assist with project meetings and correspondence.
• Evaluate construction means, methods, and sequencing for contract compliance.
• Support QA/QC throughout construction.
• Verify materials testing results as applicable.
• Assist with closeout activities and final acceptance documentation.
